Default Protools 10 & Macbookpro mi 2010

Hello à tous !
voilà j'ai un Macbookpro mi 2010 qui me sert uniquement pour faire tourner Protools 10 sous osx10.7.5.
Tout fonctionne à merveille pour prise de voix, beds sonores, pubs etc...et je peux faire fonctionner ma batterie de plugs sans soucis.
En revanche là où ça se corse c'est quand j'ai voulu installer Kontakt avec banque style piano pour maquetter tranquille et la ça plantages tout le temps.
Je me demandais si augmenter la ram à 16 Go changerait la donne ??
Je sais que en théorie le MBP est bridé à 8 Go mais j'ai lu plein de posts sur l'augmentation à 16.
Ce que je voulais savoir c'est si cela changerait qlq chose quant aux plantages intempestifs ??
