External firewire drive (-6085) errors Please Help
I'm having tons of trouble with my new Western Digital firewire drive, and I can't figure it out at all.
I'm running: Mac G4 dual 1Ghz 1.75 GB RAM Digi 002 Rack Focusrite Octopre I just picked up a 200GB firewire drive and kept getting -6085 error messages during playback and record. (this is on the second track of audio - nothing CPU intensive at all) I tried chaining the Digi and the drive, and connecting both directly to the computer. After checking the forum, I found that my Mac has a compatibility issue with external drives and got a new Pyro 1394 PCI card. Still having the same problem. Any suggestions? I'm pulling my hair out here. Thanks, <-Ryan |
