Default weird pitchshift problem

Me and my friend had a strange problem yesterday. We wanted to doube a kick track on his rap song and pitchshift (audiosuite) the second 5 semitones lower to add some more low. We could manage it, it sounded good. Next session, we want to do the exact same thing, apply the same process, and the track then appears to be longer. We checked and unchecked the time-correction option, the track was impossible to shift and synchronise. (and we didn't have the time to manually do it) But on the previous session it worked seamlessly, the way it should be.
Anyone can help, or explain what's wrong?
