Command 8 not controlling Pro Tools
I have managed to get a used Command 8 and hooked it up to my Pro Tools 8 and Digi003. I had to upgrade to latest PT8 and download the drivers and now PT sees command 8, all selected in the peripherals etc..
This is the weird thing when I make a change on screen the Faders move and during playback the faders track any automation but when I move the faders nothing happens in pro tools. Right now the only thing that works is the Mix/Edit window buttons. No play, record, rewind, track, pan, inserts etc. Is there something I have missed. i have looked at the manual but there is nothing in the trouble shooting guide that covers this problem. |

Re: Command 8 not controlling Pro Tools
Hope this excerpt from Command 8 manual helps: "003 or Digi 002 and Command|8
When used as a MIDI control surface with a supported 003 or Digi 002® system, the faders on Command|8 function as additional faders (9–16). Figure 2 shows fader mapping when Command|8 is used with a 003. (Plug-ins cannot be edited on Command|8 when used with a 003 or Digi 002.) You can use Command|8 for expanded fader control, or for remote transport control and monitoring." |

Re: Command 8 not controlling Pro Tools
I think that this is with the Digi003 (unit with Faders) I have the Digi 003 Rack. Even then I cant use it to play record etc. I read posts by others who have it working with the Digi003 and not had this problem.
