shutting off input monitoring
Is there a way to stop all input audio from coming through PT when recording?
I'm monitoring through the M-audio mixer application, so I don't need the audio to also be running through ProTools. So far what I end up doing is using input only monitoring with the record and play faders unlinked, and then every time I record enable a new track, I have to turn down the record fader for that track. Sometimes I forget, and then everything sounds like Elvis. I'd like something simpler than having to turn down every record fader... I'm still on a single processor machine, so I can't have the buffer set low enough to make latency insignificant. -thanks |

Re: shutting off input monitoring
Just mute the track you're recording.
