Default Dedicated EQ section?

Anyone know if they are planning on releasing a dedicated EQ section a la the D-Control?

Wishful thinking I know...

But 8 knobs around an "iPad" isn't going to cut it...

Trying to reserve judgement until I actually use one... but... that center section just looks so clunky...

Like the new channel strips and metering though... no complaints there...

thoughts?

There will be a color coded "spill" view using the knob module sort of like a Studer Vista.

This will put a full EQ section on every channel essentially.

Oh interesting... so it will spill an EQ across the knob module horizontally??

If so this is promising...

I could skip the "iPad" all together!

Yes, this is what I was told at AES when I got a demo.

wait until you try it out. The master section is actually really sweet and easy to use

What you are calling an "iPad" is actually a tablet PC and it is the hub of the entire package(and pretty darn cool). As for an EQ section, the knob modules can act as EQ, sends or other plugin controls by a quick assignment from the buttons module. I sat thru a demo and was quite impressed(except for the cost). I'd be thrilled if Avid would release the software for tablet use as it makes navigation slick as can be
