Venue link not working. SC48

Hello!

All help appreciated. I have had Venue link work with pt10 without issue, just did a clean install of 11 on a clean install of Win 7 64, and PT is recording all 32 well off the SC48 without issue. So it is seeing the SC48.

Both on the SC48, venue link shows connected to the PC, and on PT, venue link shows connected in peripherals.

However, if I try and make a new session from Venue, I get a pop up saying "There are currently no interfaces in IO setup which are known to be connected o Venue." and there isn't much I can get my head around in the IO setup page.

Hello Sidhu,

Unfortunately this is a known issue with Pro Tools 11 on Windows operating systems with VENUE link and the FWx interface in the SC48. You would need to revert to Pro Tools 10.3.6 to successfully use the create session from VENUE or import track names features.

The Pro Tools marker/snapshot synchronization does still work with VENUE link in Pro Tools 11 (not sure if this is important to your workflow). So you could co-install Pro Tools 10.3.6 and Pro Tools 11. Then build your session with VENUE link in Pro Tools 10.3.6 and then open in Pro Tools 11 and use the marker/snapshot sync.

I am building sessions in 10.x and then moving em over to 11. As 11 is so much leaner.
It seems to me that Windows is currently sidelined over OSx. No Fwx driver support for Win 8 either.

No stress.
