Unity gain on 001 front panel inputs

The gain pot on the 001 front panel has no index markings around it.

Where is unity gain...7 oclock, 12 oclock, 5 oclock?

Thats the pots on input 1 and 2.

It depends on the source-- (-10 and +4 line level, or mic in). It's all relative to your reference levels and mics too. I just typed a really long winded reply which may or may not help, so I skipped it. I'll post it if you want.

Sorry all. Yep, the inputs have mic level inputs, balanced and unbalanced line level all on the same socket.

I should have noted that I am using balanced inputs which are -10dBu - I think! (as against +4 dBV unbalanced) I should go back over the actual differences between dBu and dBV at some stage (I used to know the details).

Anyway...I should have asked what the "oclock positions" for mic in, unbal line in, and bal line are.

I will contact CCash privately for those details.
