Default undipped meaning

Hi all,

can someone please explain to me the exact meaning of "undipped mix" referred to a documentary style audio post production?
I need also some advice about the terms: "host dialog" and "host statement"
Thanks alot for suggestions.

'Undipped mix' for a documentary will most likely be for a foreign language release: a mix without commentary/voiceover and without any of the level adjustments done to production sound & music, to accomodate the voices. Anticipating that a foreign language overdub will have different timing, and that therefore the 'dipping' will have to be redone for each language.
Depending on your project, you might prefer to deliver this undipped mix in two stems, to allow for independent re-levelling.
Host dialog/statement I've never heard of. But it could refer to 'host language' direct sound dialog and commentary. If they want you to split this off as well, you should maybe offer to deliver on DA-88.

Cheers
Florian

thanks alot...

I was thinking something like this and you confirm.

They need DA-88 of course. I must deliver different stems also.

Best regards and thanks again

They're probably referring to Voice over narration separate from any on-camera dialog.
Typically 1-2Mix, 3-4Music, 5-6SFX, 7Narration,8Dialog.
