Move region with markers?
Is there a way to move a region and move the markers contained within that region's length along with the region?

Yes, make sure your selection includes the markers ruler, and use cut/paste. Or if you're moving everything from there to the end earlier, use can use Shuffle mode and delete the extra time (again, with selection including rulers).
