Strike 1.5 -> 2 upgrade
Does anyone know if there will be a free upgrade for purchasers of Strike 1.5 to v2 when it is ready? I've just paid $99 to get Strike 1.5 only to find it doesn't work with PT11 anyway...

Re: Strike 1.5 -> 2 upgrade
Yeah Air group is no longer Avid, and Strike is sold by Air.
Strike 1.x gets a free AAX64 Plug-in update as part of PTIEP "soon" (no date). Strike 2.0 will be a sold upgrade/new version.

Then after that, AIR will add content/features to IEP and that will be a sold 2.0 product/upgrade.

I hope they go further on the bundle front and find an agreeable price that includes Zoom and the entirely new synth product they announced at the same time. I'm pretty over-synthed as it is, so it'd have to be to good to resist. |

So they have an opportunity if they don't blow it. IEP 2.0 could be compelling for Komplete owners hungry enough for a PT11 workflow that they'd consider it. And that's really only if they added enough compelling stuff to at least be somewhat comparable to Komplete9. Since they lost drag & drop from the Timeline for awhile, that's really their only play to set themselves apart from other bundles at the moment.

It has AAX support but not AAX 2.0 - 64-bit that is needed for PT11.
