Default Pro Tools 12.7 and Reason 9 on Mac

Hi everyone

I know this have been discussed before and I have read just about every post regarding this issue, but I have not yet found anything that can solve my problem.

Just about every time I create a NEW session in Pro Tools 12.7 and then opens Reason 9, Rewire doesn't work. If I open a PREVIOUS session made in an earlier Pro Tools (Or even Pro Tools 12), and I have used Reason in that session, Reason opens automaticity and is in Rewire Slave mode.

It is pretty irritating that it's necessary to empty cache and preference files every time I'm creating a new session, just to make Rewire work, and then have to go trough Reason settings again.

I have tried to install both Reason 9 and Pro Tools 12.7 again. First Reason 9 and then Pro Tools 12.7 - but it's the same problem. It's pretty irritating, especially when customers are sitting behind me waiting.

In Pro Tools 10.3 and Reason 5 I never had that problem. I haven't tried Pro Tools 11.

Does anyone have a suggestion whether this is a Reason issue or an Avid issue? And is anybody at Avid/Propellerhead taking this serious and trying to solve it?

Im so f...ing tired of it so I consider using Logic Pro X or Studio One 3 instead of Pro Tools.

Regards Don

Is Reason set to run in 64 bit mode?

Well, I threw a lot of money out of the window I guess! Seems like Logic Pro X and Presonus Studio One 3 are for the professionals, and Pro Tools are for them who have nothing else to do in the studio than banging their heads against a brick wall in frustration!

Bye, bye Pro Tools!
