Default Nice so far - but have a video issue

Video playback is a little choppy when I set the image to fit to screen on one of my displays (2x 23"). As compared to my previous DV Toolkit LE 8.0.1 setup, it's just not as smooth. I work the same exact workflow week in, week out for years, so other than the fact that I'm now running PT9 & Snow Leopard 10.6.5, nothing else at all has changed... The video format I'm importing is exactly the same as always (ripping 35 minute segments off a DVD with Cinematize Pro 2 to H264 QT .mov files).

Also, just a side note - No more multiple video tracks in this version...? That feature in LE should at least be carried over to 9 I would think. Unless that was part of the DVTK2 feature set. Can't remember...

Anyone else notice a video performance drop as well? Thanks!

Hi, what are your system specs if you don't mind?

Changing the view from "Frames" to "Blocks" view may help, until or if this resolved. If you've already done so, I can't help. For me, there was a decrease in performance going from 10.6.3 to 10.6.5, but it was negliable.

This problem started to appear with PT 8.04 LE or HD. It's so annoying that my editors and I rolled back to 8.01. digi blames Apple but the same picture file plays fine natively on 8.01 as opposed to 8.04 with the latest QT player ver on all machines. We don't experience it if streaming out Firewire to a Canopus box using the same codec DV/DVCPRO file. Sad to hear it's not fixed on PT9. BTW I am talking all macs running the latest version of 10.5.x.
