Default Re: Importing Sound Designer II (SD2)

Out of despair I tried every application (audio and video) on my computer, then out of the blue Garage Band (GB) was able to open them in its timeline. Once the surprise feathered away, I was able to bounce to disc as a .WAV file and continue in Pro Tools.
Hope this helps.

I have a fun working rig for old Pro Tools sessions using SD2: Pro Tools 5 & 6, Mac OS9 & OSX, DIGI-001. I can open & convert to Mac/PC compatible Pro Tools/wav sessions.

How do I import SD2 files or convert them to .wav files? I am using PT 12.8. It seems like there would be an easy way to do this since it was the native audio file format in much earlier versions of Pro Tools.
Both Audaptor App
AND also Snapper2 by Audioease, (which has a 100DAY FULLY FUNCTIONAL DEMO),

Works well if you use the "Export To Folder" under Action tab function and then if you set it up in preferences to create either AIFF or .Wav files that you want from SDII. Found that to be the best quality.
