Default Probably simple newbie question about Aux Inputs

Hi

I have an Mbox Pro 3 as a hand-me-down from my brother (I've used a regular Mbox 3 which I own previously). I'm running an iMac with OS 10.11.6 El Capitan.

I want to digitize some songs from an old Tascam 4-Track. Since the typical audio out from that is RCA plugs, I want to connect those to the RCA inputs on the Mbox (Aux Inputs 5-6).

My question is can I / how do I get this connection to be used as an input for recording? I also can't find anything in the Mbox Driver Control Panel on the iMac, and I've tried pushing the "speaker" button in and out (and holding it until it blinks).

I've checked the manual and the forum, but can't find anything - hopefully I'm not being obtuse.

Can anyone help? Can this be done, and if so, how?

Thanks

You need RCA to phone plug adapter to connect your devices, assuming that is analog audio. RCA in your interface means SPDIF digital.

OK. I'd thought of that but need to dig some up (have not used anything like that in awhile). I worried about the levels - would those require adjustment for that kind of connection? Thanks for the help.
