Music Production Toolkit 1 with Pro Tools 8?

I'm sure this question has been answered before but I've been digging around the forum for an hour and cannot find a direct answer to my question.

I recently upgraded from Tiger to Snow Leopard, purchased a 003, and upgraded my PT from 7 to 8. I've found that a lot of my very expensive plug-ins can no longer be used because they are flat-out incompatible. I have a Music Production Toolkit 1 and was wondering if I am able to use it with PT8? I've heard I should upgrade to Prod Toolkit 2 but find no way of doing so on the Avid site. (I'm guessing it was made obsolete by the Complete Toolkit) What are my options?

Yeah i'm trying to find out whether i can use MPT 1 with 8.0.5 on Windows 7 on PC?

I am having the exact same problem. I even have all of my original install discs from the toolkit. Whenever I install it my pro tools no longer loads and fails to work. Very frustrating as I remember spending hundreds of dollors on the kit. The site is terrible to get a straight answer from. Please post if you figure anything out

Are you trying to use it with PT8, or a later version of Protools? It won't work in anything later than 8, because the toolkit functionality is built into Protools standard.

The additional plugins that came with it will still work, though. You just need to download the latest installers.

Turned out actually to be a bad iLok. It was damaged a few years back but seemed to hang on until now. I recieved a new iLok and everything works for me. BTW yes I am running 8.0.5. I do however have problems still with clicks and pops during playback and record and have created a thread searching (Clicks and Pops during Playback and Recording. Thanks for the reply!

Has anyone resolved the issue of Pro Tools 7.1 not loading with the the original Music Production Tool Kit installed?
