Default Anyone notice Wave Arts\' new restoration plug-ins?

Hi -

I don't think this has been posted here before -

Looks like Wave Arts (of multidynamics fame) has just released a new bundle of restoration plug-ins:

http://www.wavearts.com/MasterRestoration.html

I don't have time to test the demo at this moment, but I just heard about these from the engineer down the hall who's going to check them out in the next week or so.

Thanks Phil, I hadn't seen that post.

I may have a chance to test it next week - if I do I'll make a report.

Wow: only had time to fiddle with MR Noise and it blows away the competition: less to no artifacts and useful controls where you need them.
'm currently the owner of both DINR and ZNoise, and the latter was my top-contender, although I think Sparks denoiser (now discontinued) and the Sonic No Noise-engine 'hidden' under the hood of Roxio's CD Spin Doctor (see this tread ) and even Waves' own XNoise are slightly better than ZNoise, depending on the situation and source-material of course.

To be honest I was always disappointed in ZNoise: too pricey and the latency: MR Noise boasts a 860 sample delay vs a whopping 34702 samples in RTAS-mode!
I'd trade in my ZNoise for MR Noise any time! (no, I don't work for WaveArts). After the stuff from a.o. Massey, yet another great alternative to the money-sucking Waves products.

I'm really digging these. Gonna buy em'. Especially sweet because I can use the VST plugs to treat library transfers in Soundminer. Seems like a really good value. Other plug-in manufacturers could learn a lot from WaveArts.

My dualcore chokes after 2 instances of the plugin. A bit too cpu-demanding for my taste. Sounded nice but not perfect.

I was a beta tester on this plug in set..It it pretty nice. I tested it against the Sonic NoNoise (which we own), the Cube-Tec stuff which we were also testing and so on..It does some stuff really well. The DeNoise portion of it is pretty well laid out. It allows one to hit audio pretty hard before causing any real problems. I still like the sound of the Sonic NoNoise a bit better. But, for those on a budget or an LE system, it is much nicer than SoundSoap or the Waves stuff..
I also like that each section has a monitor button so you can hear what is being removed...

All in all a pretty nice package..

Whats the best plugin for removing hi frequency hiss..

I mix shows where material is bounced off numerous satellites, and gets very hissy.

I've tried Dinr with no success and waves noise reduction with limited results...

Will wave arts fix my woes?
