Waveform symmetry.... what\'s it all mean??
I've recorded some bass tracks and I'm noticing that the waveforms aren't symmetrical in relationship to the mid-line of the track. Is it significant if the waveform is below the mid-line, or above. I'm used to conceiving sound as waves that phase about an axis. Anyone have a better idea of what the displayed waveform really means?

Re: Waveform symmetry.... what\'s it all mean??
Not sure.........
A clean and steep high pass filter set as low as it can go is also an option; Perhaps this is also kinder to the rest of the signal ? Which is the cleanest HPF that is available as RTAS ? Leading candidates are FilterBank and Q10...i would think the renn. eq is not steep enough and has too much "character" for this job. Does anyone have a favorite ? cerberus |
