digi 002 just blown for no reason?

Hi, can anyone help me with a suggestion, recommendation, fix – the digi 002 box (about 12months old) I am using to record with –has just blown its power for no reason. Is this a digi design fix only problem. Dose anyone know if they have fuse inside that may have blown? There was a little bang, then nothing, it wasn’t even doing anything at the time.
Would love any help.

Not sure if it's the same problem but I had similar a year ago. I did a search and would up opening the top and messing with one of the ribbon cables, cleaning it, exercising it and the power came back, no problems since...Search on and Good luck! Always call digi if you can't handle it.

If there was a bang, check inide for fuse too but if a fuse blew that means somethng is not right.

Thanks Betsy. So far its still not working. Is you’re a desk box or a rack box. Mine is a rack?
I really would love anymore ideas out there?

Could be the power harness. Contact Digi to get a replacement sent to you. They've had a whole lot of problems with the original power harnesses.

Sounds like the power harness. This happened to me and called tech support. They confirmed it was the harness and sent me a new one for free. It's pretty easy to install and it fixed the problem. It's been running great since. Call tech support they'll help you through this.
