Default Windows 8 registration

I need to do a system restore and this requires the Win 8 license. According to the instructions, it can be found underneath the Mater Module...Damn Avid can you make it any harder!...My S6 is installed in a custom furniture and i will have to uninstall everything to have access to the bottom of the Master Module.
Please tell me there's another way to get this damn registration.

You do not need the licence. All you need to do is connect the Master Module to the internet to activate Windows. Use Port 1 for this.
If you don't activate, the system will still run but with a watermark saying you need to activate.

Avid S6 support recommended i re-image and reinstall 2.2 as i was having problems with metering not showing up.

Steps 10-11 of restore document mentioned that i have to register Win 8. My S6 is not connected to the internet so i thought i had to dissemble everything just to get to the activation code underneath the MM.

Anyways, i went through the restore process and reinstall 2.2 and there was no mention of Windows registration. Is that normal ?

Thanks for the reply.

Step 10 does mention Activating, but your Win8 license code isn't needed in this process (that's normal). The Windows license sticker on the bottom of the Master Module just proves it's a legit copy of Windows, same as you'd find on other devices where Windows is pre-installed.

We edited this KB to clarify.
