No Sound out of Sound Card

Hi,

Firstly, Im brand new to this forum and Pro Tools so very limited experience so pleas bear with me.

Ive downloaded Pro Tools First and Ive opened up the application and chosen House template after which PTf opens and I can see everything. When I press play, nothing comes out of my sound card (m-audio audiophile 2496) however, when I click on the metronome, I hear a beep on each bar so sound is working.

How do I get the drum track to come out of my sound card?

Ive gone to the Hardware option but nothing comes up. Ive also gone to the Playback engine and can confirm the sound card is highlighted. Ive checked the mixing desk which is part of PTf and I cannot see any led or movement on the mixer at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Pro Tools First not yet qualified with Windows 10. I'd recommend subscribing to this AKB article and/or the Tech Alerts forum for an availability alert.

But you can try installing ASIO4ALL

Ok, Ive installed asio4all and when I hold down the N key I get an error which indicates there is a problem with the sound device. I can open the program normally providing I dont hold down the N key.

Still no drums when I play the house template? Are the drum sounds which are on the template built into PTf? Do I need something else to generate the drum sounds or should my card do it?

Get the Xpand!2 plugins and install.

1)Open/ Sign in to Pro Tools First
2) Go to Marketplace > Plug-Ins
3) Try the Xpand!2 download again

Test PT|F.
