Default Re: No sound from record enabled track when low latency monitoring is enabled

I'm experiencing the same issue – I can hear my bass in the record-enabled track, but if I set it to Low Latency Mode the audio disappears, whether playing/recording or stopped.

Apogee Symphony Mk II, everything to Out 1-2 (Stereo) -> Playback 1-2.

Have you found a solution to this problem? I'm experiencing similar problems and cannot figure out how to get it working.

LLM means monitoring your record tracks from your audio hardware and not from ProTools. That is why it is low latency. ProTools mutes those record tracks so your audio hardware can take over so you don’t hear it twice.

You need to see what/how Apogee Symphony handles this monitoring or if it can even do direct hardware monitoring.

Next you should read the Pro Tools User manual on LLM. This isn’t an “issue”; this is the way it works. Not all audio hardware does direct monitoring in which case LLM is not for you.

What Bscout said, LLM disables monitoring through protools on the record enabled track, so you need to turn up the input fader on the software mixer for your interface to hear it. Avid interfaces will do this automatically, others you need to do it yourself.
