Default low levels on transferred tracks

I just had a bunch of tracks from a project I produced transferred from RADAR to PT as SDii files. Having now imported them into 001, I'm noticing that the levels on these tracks appear really low. It is mostly acoustic instruments. The integrity of the audio is fine, but I'm wondering 1) if they were properly transferred and 2) if you have had a similar experience, how did you contend with it.
Thanks,
Jerry

Now that the holiday weekend is over, I'm hoping to get a little input on this.
Thanks,
Jerry

How were they transferred from Radar to sd2 files? Using software or by transferring via multi digital outputs.. or an analog transfer?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Sounds like you transferred in digital domain. In that case I would guess it has to do with larger headroom on the Radar system. If its 24 bits I wouldnt worry. You gotta go really low in level for it to degrade sound quality.

Just prosess the files in PT with audiosuite gain. Find the highest peak on all the files and increase the level so it reaches minus a few dbs. (I’ve heard "experts" recommend that you dont normalize everything all the time because it can lead to some kind of internal digital overload. Something about mathematical summing resulting in "impossible" numbers.)

Normalize each track to -3dbfs.
