How about a MIDI Interface that can plug into the Mix Core or D24 cards!

Theese things shouldn't be plug ins, it should be standard midifeatures like it is on any other sequencer....

well,
let's be honest now, PT's midi is a joke.
I think it's obvious that digi can't handle this without buying Emagic.

Plugin or not. How about something to convert all them SV Pro files to ProTools. Getting all those Midi regions to the right Midi device and channels is very time consuming. I have over 400 sequences and want to put the Opcode thing behind me already. Getting me one step closer to OSX compliant.

Solan...

A work-around is to plug the mix outputs of your module/keyboard into, say, inputs 7 & 8 of your 888/882/001.

Then in ProTools, create a stereo aux, selecting inputs 7 & 8. You can then insert the desired plug-ins and sends accordingly.

2bit....

Try using MidiTyper (available from the Digidesign utilities page.)
This allows you to select ProTools as the desired sequencer for your .mid files.

Cheers

Rick

MidiTyper for some reason will not read SV Pro files. I think what i want is impossible anyway. I will stick to the standard SV export / PT import commands. Than reassign all midi tracks to their coorosponding devices and device channels as they were in SV Pro.

Cost: About 2 to 4 minutes per sequence & 1 nervous breakdown every 2 to 4 hours.

Best Regards,
Mike
