Default 2 Iloks, 2 Pro Tools, 1 User Account??

Hi Everyone, I already own 1 ilok with pro tools 10 & 11 on my main pc at home. I purchased an avid fast track solo with pro tools for my teenaged son so he can have his own and stop using mine. Can I safely add the second ilok / pro tools to my already existing avid user account? I've searched around and can't find a definitive answer. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can. But why not set him up with his own account?

If you set up separate accounts, then later decide you'd like them in one account, you have to pay a transfer fee.

and when your teenager gets older you need to pay a fee to transfer the license to his email address. You could just set up a separate email for him now even if he does not use it yet.

Just making sure he's aware of the swings and roundabouts, not a criticism of your post Darryl ;-)

One thought to add...
...with one account, you can manage without fees all your assets.
When your son becomes professional, he can pay the fees as part of his business plan.
