Alt Button Functionality Bug

this topic has been brought up before on this thread, regarding the intermittent functionality of the Advanced automation buttons on the doc.

the general question is: Is this being addressed or being put on the shelf?

I'd love to hear from anyone from avid.

This bug is really getting on my nerves. I was doing a job today using track show / hide memory locations and the Alt button and soft keys under the iPad all lose focus and don't work each time.


But I suspect that Avid has moved on and nothing is being done or ever will.

Yup. It's horrible... I have to double or triple tap the buttons all the damn time to get them to actually perform their function.

Please Avid, pickup Dock / S3 development again! We need professional tools with reliable buttons! And linear pot meter behavior...

There is also the matter of the buttons under the iPad which lose 'focus' when certain functions are action'd.

There is a thread about it lower down.

I have reproduced this and it appears to happen when switching between other Apps. I have passed to engineering to look at and will report back.

Not only then. One example would be when you recall and memory location which includes a show/hide of tracks.
I'm pretty sure there are more. When I'm in front of my system I will check.

Some other instances where the 'Alt' button and buttons under the iPad 'de-focus' are:

Save-as
Delete Track
Hide track
Show track
New Track
Duplicate track
commit track

question is...when are avid going to actually fix this?! it's been months and still no news.
