Aardsync II with 001
Will the Aardsync II "warm up" an 001 /Rosetta rig? Don't think that's a ridiculous question because I worked w/ a big producer that said he prefered the _sound_ of the Aardsync II (on a Mix+ system) to an Apogee Ad8000.
I also have an Yamaha 03D and am thinking word going to all would effectively "warm up" my sound. Comments??

Re: Aardsync II with 001
No, if you've got the Rosetta (two channel I assume) the Aardsync won't help at all. There can only be one master clock in a digital system, and the Rosetta doesn't have a way to slave to an external clock, so the two won't work together. The Rosetta's clock is a big improvement over the 001, so you'd be better off spending your money elsewhere.
Apogee's Big Ben would work, though...you can feed the output of the Rosetta into it and it will resolve it to its own clock and pass it on through. Its clock should be an improvement over the Rosetta's and be on par with, if not better than, the Aardsync's. -Duardo |
