Mac Enviroment Setup to Optimise Protools

HI everyone,

I can't seem to remember all of the stuff you have to get out my mac to make protools operations stable.
(e.g some extensions can't be installed, stuff like that...)
can somebody help me with this?
'cause i'm going crazy with this crash trend that's going on in my mac!!

i'm using protools with an M-box under Mac OS9.2

"inactive" - NEVER
APPEARANCE CONTROL PANEL
Fonts Tab...
set "large system font" to CHICAGO
deselect "smooth all fonts on screen"
Sound Tab...
Sound Track - NONE
MONITORS AND SOUND CONTROL PANEL
number of colors - THOUSANDS

As for extension conflicts, you should be OK. If not, it's usually software specific and a search here may help. Also keep an eye out for USB conflicts. It is good practice to install PTLE with all extensions turned off ( OS9 base in Extensions Manager).
