Yes, exactly the same converters and converter design. The only difference is a slightly smaller power supply, which accounts for slightly different specs, mainly in dynamic range and THD. Users who use both have reported seamless integration between the two.
It's completely different vs. the old situation where the 192 and the 96io were two completely different units.

I have 2x HD I/Os (16x16 analogue) and one Omni and I can confirm what NST7 has written.

The definition of HD I/O is outstanding, and I only can compare it to prism converters.
I still have 192 I/O in my other studio and used to have 96 I/O. If I would grade it from 1 to 10 then: HD I/O = 10 192 I/O =7, 96 I/O = 5 Sorry I have no experience with Omni.
