I know, you're asking what about my Firewire 800 drive? Save it for the day Digidesign makes a Firewire 800 interface. Or use it when you aren't using the Mbox2Pro. Apple really did Digidesign wrong when they removed the Firewire ports on the first unibody Macbook and Macbook Air and then stuck it to them again with just having Firewire 800 on the newest Macbook Pros, iMacs, and Mac Minis. At least on a Mac Pro, you can add a PCI card to get Firewire 400. Oh and on the 17" Macbook pro you can add an express card adapter for Firewire 400 too.
I am really lost. I have an iMac computer with only a firewire 800 jack, using mbox 2 pro that has firewire 400 jack. I have a lacie minihub usb ext hard drive. My flow is mbox directly into computer with cable that has fw 800 on one end and fw 400 on other end. Then from ext hard drive I connect to mbox because it has my sessions. Protools 8.0.3 is what I have and it worked fine until I left town and turned everything off. Now it says constantly no matter what -6085 audio device underflowed and try decreasing hardware buffer which does not work. NOthing works. What do you suggest? Please answer today if you can. I have to do lots of vocals and now I am in trouble and time is lost. oof!

Yup, I'm trying to get use out of old gear and may have version compatibility
issues but I get 6085 immediately hitting playback with
an imac osx 10.7.5 one firewire 800 driving an Mbox 2 pro firewire 400 with protools 10.3.10 thunderbolt 1 hd
other than a waste of gear anyone have suggestions ?
