Default Video Capture Card Recommendations?

I have a HDIII system that I use primarily for audio. It runs off of a Dual 1.25Gig mirror G4. I am interested in the ability to mix to picture. Could you please tell me your preferred video capture cards. I am interested in being able to convert 3/4, Beta, S VHS, DV.
Your input is much appreciated.

What version of ProTools are you using? What are you mixing, music or sound fx? I would recommend Canopus for music (or low budget), Ignitor for sound fx, ADR. The main difference being accurate, audio scrub, sync. Digitize to FCP, Adobe Premier, iMovie, Hack TV, etc.
All the (Digi approved) info can be found in the compatibility docs. It's listed at the top of this page.

Here's a start: http://www.digidesign.com/compato/osx/hd61/

Approved for 6.1 & OSX:
AVoption|XL
Canopus ADVC-100 DV Transcoder
ATI Radeon 8500 Macintosh Edition
Aurora Igniter LT/IgniterX Lite *

If I can rememember (as my rig is in another location) I am running OS 10.2.3 with Pro Tools 6.1.

I am interested in more mixing music to picture for television rather than Foley.

Again thank you much for your input!
