Default Mbox 3 Pro Standalone Headphone Volume

I am using my Mbox 3 Pro in standalone mode. I have the headphone out of my laptop going into Inputs 1-2, then Outputs 1-2 are going to my power amp and speakers. The problem I am having is that both of the headphone outputs on the front of the Mbox are tied to the master volume, making it impossible for me to listen to anything through headphones without the monitors playing as well. Changing modes or outputs does not work. Both headphone outputs A & B mimic whatever is going out of inputs 1 and 2. Is there any way to fix this within the Mbox, or do I need to resort to doing something like turning off my monitors any time I want to listen through only headphones?

You can change this in the MBox control panel. You can choose to have individual output pairs controlled by Master Volume.

This is true for when the Mbox Pro is running as an interface. Stand alone mode is different. jrk, you will have to add extra hardware to be able to listen to the headphones without having your speakers playing as well.
Does the power amp not have a volume control? If it did you could keep the Mbox turned up and just use the amp's volume control to turn your speakers up and down. If not, any type of attenuation device post Mbox, pre monitor amp, can serve as your monitor control, letting you keep the Mbox level up so that you can control your headphone level while lowering the monitors with the attenuation device.

Not an ideal fix, but I've got a power strip on my desk so I can turn on and off certain things that I don't always need/use.
My monitor speakers are connected to that strip so that when I want headphones only, or I'm tracking with a mic, I can just hit the button and shut them both off.
Again, pretty low-tech, but it works for me.
