Default Pro Tools Doesn't Recognize MBox 2 Pro

Ok, so I'm new here and I'm VERY new to Pro Tools, I bought an MBox 2 Pro today along with a firewire card in order to use it, along with various other peripherals, and the installation went fine, when Pro Tools asked me to make sure it was plugged in, I did and it installed just fine. I started it up and the programs throws me a message saying "Make sure your Digidesign hardware is connected to your computer and powered, then click ok" or something to that regard. The MBox has a flashing green light and all the other lights are all amber colored so I'm clueless. These are my system specs.

ASUS A8V-VM-SE Motherboard
2.0 Ghz AMD Dual Core Processor
2 Gigs of ram
NVidia 9500 GT Graphics card

Please help me out, I've spent 1300 bucks today on all my studio equipment and I'm really hoping this isn't a dud.

what kind of firewire card did you get? To my understanding, it has to have a TI chipset

It was an Ultra Card a ULT31342 4 Port PCI. It has a VIA Chipset, so I'm guessing that wont work?

That's probably the issue you are having.

Take a look at these:

EDIT: NVM, the system recognized it as soon as the installation started =] Thank you word_play, you've been a great help.
