can anyone please suggest a simple and crude way to test that my headphones jack on the front of my 001 box is working?

it seems not to be.

while playing back a pt session there is no sound from it, nor is there while recording.

well, plug them in

And then try another set of headphones.... if that doesn't work either, it's possible it might not be working
