PT 10.3 Freezes When "Restoring Audio Playlists"
Hi all
I'm having a very particular problem with since upgrading to PT 10. I'm trying to load a session created in PT 7. The session loads right up until Pro Tools is "Restore Audio Playlists" at which it freezes every-time, across multiple sessions (all PT7). I have no issues opening PT 9 or PT 10 sessions recording/mixing. Things I have tried to no avail: - Create a PT 10 session and import session data. I've tried importing just one track, copy sessions data, unchecked "import alternate playlists" as well as "do not import playlists". Still freezes. - Trashing PT 10 preferences. Doesn't help. - Upgraded from PT 10.3 to 10.3.1 - Creating a new windows User login just for PT. The only thing I haven't yet tried is rolling back to PT 9 and trying from there. I'm running off W7 X64 and a 003 Rack. Suggestions appreciated. Re: PT 10.3 Freezes When "Restoring Audio Playlists"
I had the same issue. This happen when my computer updated to windows 10 and the plugins needed the preferences set again when loading Protools for the first time. The problem occurred when the the Waves Bundle plug-in preferences were changed from what they were before. For example the Waves Bundle preferences asked to select "Don't use TDM plug-ins" "Don't use HTDM plug-ins" etc. After the Windows 10 update i changed the preferences from they were first time i installed the Waves bundle and all the old sections froze on "Restoring Audio Playlists" and all new sections opened fine.
After changing the Wave Bundle preferences back to what they were before when i first installed it, all old sections worked fine, hope this helps |
