Default iLok always plugged in?

Has anyone experienced any difficulties by leaving their ilok plugged in to the computer 24/7?

I assume that should be okay, but recently when I started doing that, I suddenly developed issues with my USB ports. It may be coincidental, but I thought I'd ask.

The only time I take my ilok out of my computer is when I need to sync it to ilok.com (my recording computer does not touch the internet if at all possible, I use another computer for that). I've never had an issue with it being in there all the time.

The only issue I have ever had was from a printer with a card reader screwed with my bios and Windows didn't recognize my ilok. I unplugged the ilok and put it back in and it was fine. After I realized it was the printer at boot up I shut off the printer when not in use or during boot up and it never happened again. I of course can not confirm that's exactly what was wrong but it solved the problem.
