Just wanted to give an update. The rtas plug ins finally arrived. They have made a huge difference in over all sound quality. I can tell I'm going to have questions about ezdrummer and Antares and using then with midi but I will wait to ask. I having to much fun "playing" now. I might need a more powerful computer and more RAM...There goes my mic budget!
