Using an External Firewire Hard drive
Good'ay Folk,
Wondered if anyone can offer me a quick fix for my Small Problem! I have just recently purchased a digi002 Rack. My host computer is a Dual 1.42Ghz G4 and i am trying to use an external Lacie 120 Gig (firewire)as a media disk. The problem is that if i try to import Audio (onto the External Drive) it's glitchy as Hell, if I use the Internal Drive the Audio is Fine! I have hooked my system as recommended in the mannual! I have searched for similar threads! Please Help? Many Thanks in Advance.

Re: Using an External Firewire Hard drive
Make sure you have the latest FW drivers/extensions for your Mac and that there are no other 3rd party FW drivers/extensions active or loaded.

Re: Using an External Firewire Hard drive
Ideally, you originally re-formatted the Lacie drive HFS+ with the Mac utility after you fired it up. Not sure failure to do so would give you this particular problem, though. Just food for thought. Bad or cheap quality firewire cable could also be a factor. Plus what 'where' said...
Good luck, MR
