This is a fantastic beast!! It’s been the centerpiece of my studio for about 5 years. If you’ve ever used one, you know how flexible and fast it is for any workflow you need. Mixing or tracking, this is a wonderful addition. These are old, but still used in huge studios and film mix rooms to this day. Just pulled it last week running great on the most current Pro Tools Ultimate 2019.12.

XMON monitoring gives you (2) 5.1 inputs, (3) Stereo inputs, (2) Stereo Cue sends, (2) sets of 5.1 or stereo speakers plus 1 set of minis. Internal and external talkback as well as listen back mic circuit. Ultimate flexibility and killer sonics.

I purchased the main unit from a big post house in NYC, and the 2 fader packs from a famous sound designer in LA… all well cared for.

This console makes for great workflow and speed, as well as a super professional looking centerpiece. It’s impressive looking. It’s about 7’ long and weighs about 165 lbs.

Video of VEGAS MODE shows that everything is functioning properly.

Overall it’s in great shape, but here are the negatives for full disclosure:

- a few faders need to be cleaned as they have intermittent sensitivity. Not motor or band issues, just dirty caps or tracks. I cleaned everything a year ago and it was great. It’s prob 8-12 out of the 40 that need some love. As a workaraound, I just jump into utilities mode, hit fader recal, and they are good to go again for a few days. Takes 15 seconds.

- There are 2-5 knobs on channel strips out of the 101 total knobs that lose touch sensitivity. These can’t be cleaned or repairs without replacing the entire control board, so I just use fader flip to access the functions needed. Super fast, and I don’t even think about it anymore. All knobs in the master EQ/DYN/MON section function 100%.

- There are 2 channel strip encoder displays that are intermittent in their display. Has never caused an issue for me, as it’s down on fader 38-40 on the top encoder row. All channel strip scribble strips are 100%.

If interested in separate modules, the Main Unit and XMON are $1850 cash ($1925 credit) and the 2 fader packs are $1400 cash each ($1450 credit).

Shipping plus insurance in the continental US is approx $250 per unit/$750 total. Exact shipping to be determined with correct address, but this is about what I paid to get them from NYC and LA to Nashville, so that’s a close estimate.

I am not Bob but We have one too. It is a TC Electronics Clarity M Metering Gear. Awesome piece and really cheap. We paid less than 300 dollars new a few months ago. Super exact and programmable to the tee!

There is a Stereo and a 5.1 version of the unit. Both looks the same and the 5.1 unit has surround features otherwise the same functions.

It is a great little display and you can setup the layout and metering and colors etc to suit your view preference and we love it! There is an arm you can buy separate for like 35-40 bucks like a iPhone holder but for this display and have it with a sucktion cup or a kind of snap holder. You will see what i mean if thats something you need as I am bad at explaining in english what its called
