I spend a lot of my time doing mix revisions. Taking a mix and making lots of very fine adjustments to them. These are very fine adjustments. I've only ever done quick in store demos of Ravens but I couldn't imagine doing these fine adjustments on it. I could be totally wrong, but I don't think so.

Be sure to do an in studio prolonged demo.

I am mixing 3 series right now. 3 X 1 hr per week. All on an mti, with no issues or arm fatigue! You can have the faders set to fine mode and be way more accurate than any "real" fader and have access to all plug in parameters at all times. I had an s6 side by side for 2 months and went with the Raven.

Ok, I'm floored on this one. Really, compared to an S-6?

60k+ vs 1k?

Hum, is it really that simple?

Curious, why not go for the full blown Raven setup?

Better yet, get a Raven from your dealer so that you can return it if needed. I wouldn't put too much into people that are trying to justify their most recent expenditure.
Oh, on a sidenote, I love Verizon FIOS, if I didn't have to have the NFL Sunday ticket!

I found the S6 virtually unusable at the time. Many features not implemented yet, layouts weird, ridiculous pricing. The mti worked well and I love the fact that I can grab a plug in and just work with it, instead of having to page through banks to find a setting.

I would have bought the mtx but I would have had to completely reconfigure my control room to make it work. The s6 would have fit into the hole left by my old board. I literally just dropped the mti on top of my old desk and started mixing.

It's definitely not for everyone. A lot of people can't get their head around no physical faders but it works for me.

Thanks for the insight Chris. I looked at your Facebook page and saw the pics over top the old Mackie.
