Default tracks from last session visible in new session

How come all my old tracks are visible in the buses of my new session?

I just started a new session, and when I went to assign a bus to my aux track for EQ, all the tracks from the previous session are showing up in the bus menu A and bus menu B style of selecting a bus for my EQ.

If you uncheck the box that says sessions overwrite current I/O setup this will happen. Or if you create a new session and don't pay attention to I/O setup selection this can happen. You can either hit 'default' on each page or create a custom I/O setup with your normal session setup, give it a name, save it and it will be available each time you start a new session. You just have to watch that selection when creating a new session; it can also be changed after you create a new session but much easier to do it at the start.

How would you change it after you've already started?

Once you did this ...:

... you can recall it by "import settings" in the I/O setup.
