Hi Ray,
My problem is I'm not a gifted typist and dislexic as well!
Re the
keyboard, it's quite high up...Also it seems tp be easy to snag wrong keys
on it! Aggghh! Still, I did my first 'remote job' where I set up the main
unit and mission control (the other fader pack sits in its box for the
moment) up on the table that is built into one of the tall doors on my PT
rigs flight case....nifty! Pull up a chair, ready to rock! The flatscreens I
have also fit on the door with legs / table top... NO NEED TO FIND A PLACE
TO SET UP A KEYBOARD & MOUSE! I got my desk and I'm ready to rock....
I will be mostly set up at one location (my apartment / studio) eventualy,
(when I get a suitable place) but I'm freelance and work around....
Being able to bang a button & get new tracks is cool also the nudge
buttons. I just use the keyboard for naming tracks so far...I like the track
ball it's an indusrial one apparently and feels like it! The Joystick,
well.....who Knows! Surround sound aint so big in my field yet....
I really want PC sitting perhaps at a v slight angle up, quite low, about
a couple of inches above my knees. then I should be able to see over the
monitors at the musicians, (remember them?) Right now it's set up on my
home/office desk, it's too high and pissing me off! I have to sit up in a
high chair to see the DSP LED's I cant slouch and feel like a kid at the
dinner table...

I've got a 32 fader system in a big Argosy... Love it!
Clients love it to and I'm talking CLIENTS.
Plenty of elbow room, solid and enough rackspace and leg room. It was easily customized. 20" monitors and NS-10s (plus my 20 buttn phone on top... just the right height. And the armrest holds my trackball and KB which I rarely take my hands off of.
Like it so much I'm putting in another one for our B room with 16 faders.
