Default Pro Tools 2018.1 - Can't type underscore in file name?
Normally when I bounce a track, I like to put an underscore and the mix draft number at the end. Exampe: Artist Name - Song Name_1

Now I cannot type an underscore anywhere in Pro Tools. I tried the bounce file name, track name, and track comments.

Anyone else seeing this?

Working here on Mac. Tried in bounce dialog, also renamed track and _ no problem

Weird. I can type dashes (-) in Pro Tools but not underscores (_). Working fine here clearly.

Seems like there is some corruption in this particular session. Works fine when I load a different session, but stops working again when I go back to the original session.

Maybe this has something to do with how the file was saved. If it's old, there used to be that enforce file naming compatibility option. Now you can tell PT to use limited character sets when saving copies. Those options probably stay with the session file.

Underscores have always been part of the legal/limited/cross-compatible naming set.
