Default reverse effect idea?

Hi, I'm looking for a plug-in that reverses audio in fragments in rtas.

Like:
one, two, three, four, five
->
eno, owt, eerht, ruof, evif

yes, I could edit and reverse manually, but I'm looking for something automatic and repeatable...
This is for a cartoon, where they travel back in time,

sknahT for any suggestions!

Are you talking about the equivalent of playing a tape backwards or the equivalent of editing the parts of the words in different order while the fragments are played forward (something like a granular effect)? If the latter, RiverRun from AudioEase comes to mind or GRMTools´ Shuffle.

Or you could build this in Reaktor if it has to be RTAS. If not Kyma or Max/MSP would also do.

frank.

Reversinator does what you are looking for.
But it's VST (Mac PPC or WinXP), so FXpansion is needed.

It's not tweakable, it has just on/off switch...
But it's free.

Best

Besides the above suggestions, you might have some luck with Transfuser but I don't know for sure if it will do exactly what you want.

That said, it only takes a few moments to select each word and hit "b" to separate, then select all the words and have the audiosuite "Reverse" plugin render on a region by region basis, rather than the entire selection.

hope that is of some use.

Even better: use the silence stripper. And then as Carl suggests - use the reverse audiosuite and set it to "create individual files" / "region by region".

... Also Antares Mutator has Alienize option. It does the same, and you can change the grain length.
