iLok Questions
I am sorry if this isn't the proper place to post this, but I couldn't find a place that seemed more appropriate so...
I got ProTools 10 when I purchased my Eleven Rack Bundle. My computer cannot run PT 10 however (for multiple hardware reasons, as well as Windows XP). I went out and purchased a used copy of ProTools 8 LE, only to find out that it did not come with a product key or a name for transfer of ownership ( I am still new to this stuff). My question is if I can run ProTools 8 without the key since I have a licensed iLok, even though it is licensed to a ProTools 10.

Sadly no. You will need to get a product key for LE8. It will start with "DIGI08......". At this point, you can probably buy a code on the used market for not a lot of money
