Default Annual upgrade Plan? Please advise

See Below. Does the below translate to if I do not pay the $99 dollars then I do not receive updates? I currently have 12.4.0
If I do pay is this the level I am at?

Have others received this and have you paid the subscription?

Yes you must be on plan to receive updates. Your license is frozen at whatever the current version is when it expires

It's like you've been kidnapped and paying you kidnapper money to continue to hold you hostage! Only good for the kidnapper.

Or someone who wants to keep receiving updates. A little dramatic there, no?

Majority opinion is that forcing us to pay for "point" updates, which usually address bugs, is a raw deal. I concur.

No. It is a perfectly accurate reflection of how abused and mistreated many Pro Tools users feel.

Abused and mistreated? Wow. I've been using PT for 20 years and think that avid management are pretty clueless. I just don't feel abused and mistreated.

And hopefully you save your installers. You won't have access to download the version that you own either.
