Default Yosemite & pro tools 9 compatibility?

Is Yosemite OS X compatable with pro tools 9? I upgraded my mac from lion to it. The OS is running smoothly but I'm yet to try it with any version of pro tools.

I want 9 because 10 & 11 are out of my budget at this point. Coming from se on a pc, and all I wanna do is be able to run addictive drums in it.

If I have to downgrade to mavericks I will.

<insert expletive here> no, and nether is Mavericks
new from the store Macs can not be down graded via regular installer, you may be able to force a older OS from a restore image but no promises

You purchase it from the Apple store/web site. But quite likely Lion will not work on a new Mac. You are off on your own in experiential land... or you could buy an old used Mac. Or give up now or just bite the bullet and upgrade Pro Tools.

My mac is old. It's a 2007. I just upgraded it to the new OS.

You mean if I hold the option button at start up, it'll automatically have lion ready to go?

I'd check now, but I won't be home until tomorrow morning.

No I mean an install DVD. Or you already have later updates previously purchased, either on DVD-ROM or already in your account for download at Apple.
