Yes, you are correct, I thought you were asking for more inputs at a fair price. My main concern is, since the blue interfaces are not supported, nobody can assure if they gonna work in a future update or not.

For HDX type, look for the Focusrite RedNet or the LynxAurora or Apogee if you need alternatives, but so far I'm more than happy with the new Avid HD series AD/DA, they just sound better than anything else I have tried.

HD/N PCIe with HD OMNI, 192 IO & 2x 96 IO work great here with PT HD 11.

I think the most likely risk is if Apple makes some change that causes them to require a ROM update. So far nobody seems to be having any problems and there are a lot of them in use around the industry.

Exactly. Officially unsupported doesn't mean that blue gear won't work up to the time Bob mentioned.

E.G. I still regret I sold my Command 8 before I got info that it will work with PT11 though officially unsupported!

Well, there's a risk in running in unsupported configuration that in my personal opinion, I'm not willing to take, aside having a custom built mac.

In this case the risk is kind of black and white. A new computer or OS might mean needing to replace the interface but by that time there could also be something new that would make a better long term investment than the current HD i/os. We're in a more transformative period than we have been in for a decade. Audio over ip is barreling down the track as is USB3, Thunderbolt 2 and a new generation of memory and storage. PT 11 is well worth the move but I'm hanging on to the rest until my next move becomes more clear.
