Default Anyone know how to change the Digi Pre metering?

ok, so when i upgraded to protools 8.x i noticed that my Digi Pres font LEDs changed while recording. usually they just stay stagnat for me and i only see movement in the "signal" led, but for some reason on a few sessions it switched modes and all the leds acted like a digital VU meter for each channel, and i thought that was awesome! at first i thought i actually had a malfunction, but when i realized what was going on, i totally dug it. Only trouble is, i dont know how to enable this feature because its not on right now, AND I WANT IT BACK! cant find any info in the Pre PDF either.
