All I want is a MIDI controller!!!!

Ok so I got my mbox 2 in the mail a few days ago...Now im trying to hook up my cheapo casio midi keyboard and use it as a controller. I can't for the life of me figure this out. I turn on GM on my keyboard, go to setup>MIDI>MIDI studio setup. I then make an instrument. I choose casio as the manufacturer, model none, input port digidesign mbox 2, output port digidesign mbox 2, then select ALL the send and receive channels.
After this, I go to setup>peripherals, then under "type" I choose HUI. Heres where it doesnt work. No matter what combination of "receive from" and "send to" I get the same message pop up; "protools is unable to communicate with HUI....etc."
Could someone help me? I have 2 ElCheapo midi controllers, but neither work. I also have a 1x1 usb1 midi device, but id rather use protools' midi ports.

*MIDI Cable - MIDI Controller MIDI Out to Mbox 2 MIDI In.
*Casio 'Local' Off.
*Create a Stereo Instrument track.
*Instantiate Xpand!.
*Record enable the Instrument track.
